Letter from the Owner

I am often asked, "What drove you to start a company that produces products in the fishing industry?" There are so many reasons that come to mind, I often don't know where to start. There are obvious "perks" to owning your own business but, those perks are seldom part of my answer. Typically, my answer is something like "I wanted to be my own boss" or "I just had a couple of ideas that turned into a company". While both are true, neither are the main reason. At the end of the day, it comes down to passion.

When you grow up in Southeast Texas, fishing, hunting and the great outdoors are just part of the culture. I was still in diapers the first time my dad took me to a deer stand and barely walking the first time I threw a line into a tank (pond). I've been in love with hunting and fishing my entire life and grow to love the outdoors more every day. To me, it means so much more than just catching a big bass or getting that big buck. It means family, appreciation, respect, dedication, responsibility and camaraderie.

I've grown so passionate about the outdoors because of so many influences in life; the main one being my dad. Had it not been for him, I don't think I'd be here today. He also has a love for the outdoors and dedicated his life to make sure we'd (my two brothers and myself) have every opportunity to experience it ourselves. I look back at the early years and now realize that he used those hunting and fishing trips as opportunities for us to grow closer as a family, teach us about respect and appreciation, and show us that whatever you want to do in life, is as easy and simple as getting up every day, working hard, and going out into the world to chase your dreams. For all that, I am forever grateful and wouldn't trade it for the world.
